It used to be that when a person had their 40th birthday it was considered middle age. Nowadays, for most people the 40th birthday is typically when life begins. It is a time when we feel our best, are all the wiser and have a zest for life.

Regardless of what people believe, a 40th birthday is still a milestone and considered a day that celebration is in order. Many people love a theme party where they dress up in clothing of that era. Some ideas might be a Mexican, a sixties theme or a Luau party. The decorating and food add to the fun and excitement of doing a party that is different.
